SHOW

A collective of pure talent: BLAZE is the show that brings the raw energy of street and break dance together in a mesmerizing performance along with the most advanced digital screening backdrop technology, 4-Dimensional lighting andthe best beats this side of the Atlantic.

Following a huge success of television shows such as So You Think You Can Dance and America’s Best Dance Crew, the world’s appetite for street dance is booming and now for the first time ever the electric combination of urban moves, music and fashion will take to the stage setting a new standard in dance performance.

Two years in production, BLAZE has been an epic journey for the people involved: the brainchild of Dutch producer Eric Holman of pANdADDY productions, experts in bringing street and roots shows to the main stage have partnered up with dance heavyweight Anthony van Laast to create a spectacle never before seen in theatres.

Together they brought the pioneering 2005 dance extravaganza Bounce to the stage in Holland, and now they are ready to leave audiences worldwide gasping for breath. “I was very excited when Eric approached me to do this,” recalls van Laast. “I had achieved so much from working on Bounce that I was thrilled to have the chance to bring street dance to another level in this show.”

The challenging choreography is the combination of the talents of seven international choreographers, all at the top of their game, and pushes the twelve street dancers and three break dancers to new levels in their styles proving that street dance is not for the faint-hearted and will take the respect it is entitled to in the world of dance.

As exhilarating and pulsating as the dancers themselves, the backdrop for BLAZE has been a real labor of love. The highly original set is like a living canvas to the screened images and lights which bring everything to life in elaborate, interactive displays that work with the dancers and the music to draw the audience in and really make them a part of the show.

BLAZE IS NOT SOMETHING YOU CAN JUST TALK ABOUT.
IT’S SOMETHING THAT YOU HAVE TO SEE FOR YOURSELF.
